Atoms Crowd works with the following file formats:
- atomsskel : the skeleton definition format file
- geos : the geometry format file
- atomsclip: animation clip format. Optimized to work with Atoms Crowd
- atoms: cache format.
- json : for storing scene, variation data and tool options.
- clothcache: cloth cache format
- abc: Atoms Crowd can export Alembics and use an Alembic as agent skin mesh.
- fbx
Moreover it works with the following material formats:
- ass
- rib
- vrscene
All our proprietary formats are independent from each other. The only case where a file path is stored inside one of our files is with xgen as the groom definition file path is stored inside the .geos file.
We use json files for storing variation and scene setup files, these json files can reference other files on disk.
