You can open the cache manager GUI using the shelf button or via the Atoms Menu: Atoms > Tools > Cache Manager
When working with complex shots you might end up dealing with several caches.
The cache manager will help you help handle them to keep efficient performances.
The Cache manager displays the loaded caches in the top list, it also shows the loaded frames and the memory in use by each cache. You can load caches in two ways:
- by assigning a cache to a cacheReader module or a to an AtomsProxy
- by pressing the "Load Cache button", you will then be able to select a cache and load straight away a frame range from it.
The cache manager also allows you to remove caches with the "Remove Selected Caches" and "Clear All" buttons.
Finally you can also provide a Max Memory limit so that you wondon't end up filling your computer RAM, of course when .
When caches are loaded in memory they are much faster to access.

Each cache will always have at least one frame in memory, no matter if the max memory limit is already reached. |
