A new tool called "Agents Helper" has been introduced since Atoms 2.0.
You can open it via the Atoms Menu: Atoms > Tools > Agents Helper Tool.
This tool will help you applying animation clips or variations to the agents you have selected in the viewport.
The content displayed in the clips and variations list comes from your scene and variation jsons.
On the top of the UI users can find:
- a search section that will help you find your clips or variations inside the UI
- an option button, where users can change the icon size, activate the "rewind on change" action (mainly used when applying clips) and "Use all agent groups" (by default this tool only works on the selected agent group, if this option on the tool will work with all the selected agents in the viewport - from all groups)
- a refresh button to populate again the clips and variations list.
Variations and clips will be displayed inside the bottom lists. To apply a clip or variation, select one or more agents in the viewport and click on a clip or variation.
Please note, your agent groups will need to have a clipReader or stateMachine module when applying clips or the variations module when applying variations.
When applying clips:
- if your agent group has a stateMachine module the tool will try to find the right state for the clicked clip. The clip won't be applied if an appropriate state won't be found.
- The clips will be applied only on compatible agents.
If you don't have thumbnails for your clips or variations a standard icon will be displayed.
Thumbnails for variations can be create automatically with the Variation Builder from version 2.0.
